Workshop Foreman
We are currently looking for a Workshop Foreman who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring that all fleet maintenance, repairs, servicing, and breakdown activities are completed efficiently, safely, and according to company standards.

- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal Trade Test).
- Valid Code EC driver's licence (advantageous).
- 5–10 years' experience in truck and trailer maintenance.
- Minimum 3 years' supervisory or foreman experience within a transport or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of heavy commercial vehicles.
- Computer literacy (MS Office and workshop management systems).
- Sound knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and fleet management.
- Supervise and lead Diesel Mechanics, Technicians, Apprentices, and Workshop Assistants.
- Allocate daily repair and maintenance tasks to workshop staff.
- Oversee preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on trucks and trailers.
- Ensure all repairs meet company quality and safety standards.
- Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, and turnaround times.
- Conduct inspections of vehicles, trailers, and workshop equipment.
- Manage job cards, maintenance records, and repair documentation.
- Control workshop inventory, tools, spare parts, and consumables.
- Investigate recurring mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) requirements.
- Liaise with Fleet Managers and Operations teams to schedule maintenance and minimize vehicle downtime.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to workshop personnel.
- Manage staff attendance, performance, discipline, and leave planning.
