Warehouse Receiving Manager

Role Overview

Own inbound warehouse operations in Roodepoort and lead Receiving, Credit and Returns, Administration and Housekeeping teams. The role focuses on stock accuracy, process discipline, people performance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage receiving and supporting warehouse functions, including supplier truck and container off-loading.
• Check stock against supplier documentation and ensure correct barcoding, labelling and processing.
• Manage stock transfers and production build-up orders and resolve receiving issues.
• Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock takes, variance investigations and corrective action.
• Manage Credit and Returns and control PODs, credit notes, route sheets and related records.
• Maintain clean, organised and safe storage, accurate bin locations and replenished pick faces.
• Manage forklift drivers and safe equipment use.
• Lead, coach, train and develop the team, set KPIs and manage performance, discipline and onboarding.
• Control labour utilisation and overtime, monitor productivity and implement improvements.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• At least five years of warehouse-operations experience, including two to three years in supervision or management.
• Strong receiving, inventory-control and warehouse experience.
• Experience with an ERP or warehouse-management system.
