Warehouse Manager - Manufacturing

Synopsis

A manufacturer operating in the paint, coatings and waterproofing sector is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee its Cape Town warehouse. The position requires a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing warehouse experience who can maintain inventory accuracy, coordinate receiving and dispatch activities and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse receiving, storage and dispatch operations.
• Coordinate warehouse staff and allocate operational responsibilities.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and investigate stock variances.
• Ensure goods are stored and handled according to operational requirements.
• Maintain warehouse housekeeping, safety and operating standards.
• Monitor warehouse productivity and operational performance.
• Implement process improvements to increase warehouse efficiency.
• Coordinate with production and logistics stakeholders regarding stock movement and availability.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

• Minimum five years of warehouse experience.
• At least three years in a warehouse supervisory or management role.
• Manufacturing-sector warehouse experience is essential.
• A qualification in Warehouse Management, Logistics or Supply Chain is advantageous.
• Experience in paint, coatings, waterproofing, chemicals or building materials is relevant.
