Role Overview

A hands-on Warehouse Manager is required for a retail distribution warehouse in Cape Town. The role manages inventory, people, processes, and systems while delivering cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.

Responsibilities

Ensure the warehouse complies with company standards.
Manage receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Maximise warehouse space and plan layouts, routes, and deliveries.
Track quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, and efficiencies.
Perform weekly cycle counts and investigate inventory losses.
Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
Improve staff performance through supervision, coaching, and training.
Maintain attendance records and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Resolve issues and complaints promptly.
Comply with health, safety, and environmental standards and remain on call for emergencies.

Requirements

Matric is essential.
Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Warehouse, or Distribution is advantageous.
Minimum seven years' warehouse experience and four years' Warehouse Manager experience.
Proven experience managing inventory, people, processes, and systems in a fast-paced warehouse.
Strong leadership, coaching, performance-management, reporting, and communication skills.
Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
