Video Content Creator

Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for videography and content creation?

Our international client based in Elandsfontein is looking for a talented Video Content Creator to produce engaging, high-quality video content that brings their brand to life across social media, YouTube, websites, and digital marketing platforms.

From filming and editing to creating multiple pieces of content from a single shoot, you'll play a key role in showcasing products, telling compelling stories, and driving brand engagement.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Tertiary Qualification in either of the following fields: Communications and Journalism, Marketing, Video, Writing
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in Photography, Videography and Editing
  • Editing: 2-3 years’ working experience preferred.
  • Digital Content Creation: Maximum 3 years working experience required
  • Video production and scriptwriting expertise required to create captivating reels for various social media platforms
  • Understanding type layout, product placement and understanding and adhering to our corporate identity and visual language
  • Work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience designing brand content for various social media platforms
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while producing high quality work
  • A high level of attention to detail with a meticulous approach to editing, ensuring videos are of high quality and error- free
  • Willingness to learn and adapts quickly to changing demands and feedback
  • A passion for video creation, storytelling, with a keen eye for visual composition and aesthetics
  • Self-motivated and team-orientated, with the ability to drive results yet work independently
  • You need to be driven, love trying new things, be able to handle criticism and feedback and possess a passion for continuous learning
SKILLS MATRIX
  • Experience filming videos using a mirrorless camera.
  • Knowledge of product photography (advantageous).
  • Understanding of lighting techniques for video and photography.
  • Experience recording audio using wireless microphones.
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing, colour correction, and audio adjustments.
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and animations.
  • Skilled in Adobe Photoshop for image editing.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator for creating graphics, visual assets, and YouTube thumbnails.
  • Experience with Adobe Audition for editing voice-overs and audio.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Media Encoder (advantageous).
  • Experience with Blender (3D software) and FreeCAD (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and ElevenLabs (advantageous).
  • Experience using Flow Labs, Motion Array, and YouTube Studio.
 
DUTIES
  • Create high-quality and engaging digital content, including images, videos, graphics, written posts, animations and motion graphics for various social media platforms
  • Conduct research on industry trends and perform competitor analysis to stay up-to date with the latest social media trends and incorporate them into video content creation
  • Assist in implementing content ideas for campaigns and foster collaboration with the marketing team
  • Create compelling and shareable content for various platforms, such as short video reels to captivate the attention of our audience
  • Write scripts for captivating video content and use your video productions skills to create appealing reels for various social media platforms. Video’s must be appealing and hold attention
  • Use video editing software to cut, trim, and assemble video footage, add effects, transitions, and graphics to produce high- quality and visually appealing videos
  • Plan, shoot and edit, various video content, including but not limited to promotional videos, social media clips, interviews, tutorials, and event coverage
  • Write new product content for new products launches and onboard product visuals and content onto relevant platforms
  • Stay up to date with the latest video trends, techniques and industry standards to contribute fresh and innovative ideas for video projects
  • Work with the marketing team to plan an editorial calendar, and regularly measure the results to apply data-driven to content strategies
  • Ensure that all content adheres to brand and communication standards and are written/produced in a consistent way against the brief/ requirements
 
 
Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
