Trust Officer Assistant
Our client is looking for a Trust Officer Assistant to join their Financial Planning team based in Noordhoek. This role involves providing frontline administrative support, including preparing and processing investment instructions, assisting with client onboarding, handling payments, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, such as a broker’s assistant, with exposure to investment administration. Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to work independently in a client-focused financial services environment are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process investment instructions, including submission via internal systems and follow-up to completion
- Handle daily and monthly EFT payments on behalf of clients, including verification and system capturing
- Monitor debit balances and assist team members with corrective actions
- Facilitate onboarding of new clients, including completion and capturing of all required documentation
- Prepare and file meeting notes promptly and accurately
- Maintain electronic and physical filing systems in compliance with financial services legislation
- Liaise with internal investment administration and support departments
- Manage office stock and consumables to ensure smooth operations
- Provide general administrative and secretarial support, including:
- Typing and filing client correspondence
- Diary management and event bookings
- Reception duties when required
- Matric (preferably with Accounting)
- A bookkeeping or accounting diploma is advantageous
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, specifically within investment administration or broker support
- Exposure to unit trusts, local and offshore investments, life assurance, or wills is advantageous
- Intermediate computer literacy, particularly in MS Office and Excel
