Travel Consultant

Synopsis

We are looking for a passionate and customer-focused Travel Consultant to help clients plan and book memorable travel experiences. You will provide expert destination advice, arrange flights and accommodation, create personalised itineraries, and ensure a smooth booking experience from the initial enquiry to the client's return home.

Key Responsibilities

1. Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, budgets, and requirements
2. Arrange flights, accommodation, transfers, tours, and holiday packages
3. Create personalised travel itineraries and prepare quotations
4. Advise clients on destinations, travel requirements, visas, and travel insurance
5. Process bookings, payments, cancellations, and itinerary changes
6. Liaise with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other travel suppliers
7. Monitor travel arrangements and assist clients with unexpected changes
8. Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to generate repeat business
9. Stay informed about travel trends, destination updates, and industry promotions

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

1. Matric certificate; a qualification in Travel and Tourism is advantageous
2. Previous experience in travel consulting, tourism, or customer service is preferred
3. Knowledge of booking systems such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre is advantageous
4. Strong communication, customer service, and sales skills
5. Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
6. Good computer literacy and attention to detail
7. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple bookings simultaneously
