Role Overview

Assegai Recruitment needs a Transmission and Distribition Design Engineer who can step into a practical role in JHB - Northern Suburbs. A key part of the work involves Design of substation equipment and line termination gantry structures & Cable Sealing Ends.

Key Responsibilities

Support the team by managing design powerlines with PLS-CADD and powerline towers with PLS-Tower.
Take ownership of Involved with the Design of powerline structural foundations, including piled, pad, and rock-anchor foundations.
Take ownership of Foundation design, including field testing.
Take responsibility for the core day-to-day work expected of a Transmission and Distribition Design Engineer.
Work with colleagues, customers or suppliers to keep work moving and issues visible.

Requirements

Relevant experience in design services or a closely related field.
Good planning habits, attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
Comfort working to agreed standards while adapting when operational needs change.
