Toolmaker
Are you a qualified Toolmaker with strong practical experience in plastic injection moulding tools?
Our client based in Killarney Gardens is seeking hands-on toolmaker to assist with the maintenance, repair, and modification of plastic injection moulds to ensure efficient production and minimal downtime.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with injection moulding tools, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience

REQUIREMENTS
- Qualified Toolmaker with a recognised trade qualification
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience
- Experience working on plastic injection moulds is essential
- Strong understanding of mould maintenance, repairs and modifications
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience using conventional toolroom machinery
- CNC experience will be advantageous
- Must be able to work accurately and independently
- Must have good problem-solving skills
- Must be reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
DUTIES
- Manufacturing, maintaining, repairing and modifying plastic injection moulds
- Performing preventative maintenance on moulds
- Fault-finding and repairing mould-related issues
- Assisting with tool trials and mould improvements
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Operating conventional toolroom machinery safely and accurately
- Ensuring all work is completed to the required quality standards
- Supporting production by ensuring moulds are available and in good working condition
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Working closely with the toolroom, production and quality teams
