Test Automation Lead

📍 Johannesburg, Gauteng (Hybrid)

Our client, a leading organisation within the financial services and technology sector, is seeking an experienced Test Automation Lead to drive quality assurance initiatives and lead automated testing across complex digital products and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the testing function throughout the software development lifecycle.
Define and implement test strategies, frameworks, and best practices.
Design, develop, and maintain reusable automated test assets.
Ensure product quality by identifying and mitigating risks across systems and integrations.
Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Drive continuous improvement of test processes, automation coverage, and testing efficiencies.
Execute and oversee Front-End, API, and Performance Testing activities.
Support Agile delivery teams and promote healthy team dynamics and effective collaboration.
Analyse test results, defects, and performance metrics, providing recommendations for improvement.

Minimum Requirements

Relevant Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years' experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
Minimum 3 years' experience leading Test Automation initiatives.
Strong experience in Agile software development environments.
Proven experience with test automation frameworks and methodologies.
