Technical Operations Manager - IT

Role Overview

Manage daily field operations for IT support, fibre, CCTV, access control, networking and technical installation services in the Garden Route. Provide hands-on technical oversight while ensuring job completion, CRM updates and service-level performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule technicians daily.
• Run the morning operations meeting.
• Ensure jobs are correctly updated in the CRM.
• Check job notes, photographs, time tracking, stock usage and job statuses.
• Ensure work is completed correctly for invoicing.
• Manage stock requirements and inventory.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Reduce missed bookings, incomplete jobs and poor client communication.
• Report daily operational metrics to management.

Experience and Qualifications

• Grade 12 or Matric.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Three to five years' experience in field service, technical operations, installations, service delivery or project coordination.
• Proven experience managing technicians or field teams.
• Strong planning, scheduling and follow-up skills.
• Strong administrative and systems discipline.
• Excellent client communication skills.
• Technical background in IT, fibre, CCTV, security, networking or telecommunications.
