Technical Delivery Lead / IT Project Manager (Banking)

Role Overview

A leading financial services group is seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to own complex IT project delivery within a banking environment. This 12-month contract bridges architecture, engineering and business stakeholders while managing project governance and technical solution delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end IT project delivery within agreed scope, budget and timelines.
• Close architecture gaps and resolve open technical decisions with stakeholders.
• Ensure designs align with architecture roadmaps and coordinate application integration points.
• Run stand-ups and operational forums and report progress, risks and delays.
• Produce delivery reports and dashboards.
• Manage governance, risk registers, audit findings, escalated delivery issues and integration conflicts.
• Ensure adherence to change and release governance.
• Manage application health, stability, support and maintenance.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and vendors.

Requirements

• 10–15 years' experience in an IT environment across multiple disciplines.
• Experience as a Technical Delivery Lead or in technical support-team management.
• Degree or Advanced Diploma at NQF 7; Honours or professional qualification advantageous.
• ITIL or ITSM certification advantageous.
• Working knowledge of SQL, APIs and technical architecture.
• Banking applications, enterprise integration, SDLC, project management and IT governance experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and business writing skills.
