Systems & Operations Lead

Due to continued growth, Measured Ability Outsourcing Group, a leading Temporary Employment Services (TES) agency, we are seeking an experienced and innovative Recruitment, Systems & Operations Lead to join our growing team in Durban.
This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled recruitment professional with a passion for systems, process optimisation and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading our permanent recruitment function while driving the implementation, optimisation and ongoing management of our proprietary recruitment and vetting database. This role combines strategic recruitment, systems ownership, project management, business development and operational leadership.

Working closely with executive management, software developers and recruitment teams, you will ensure our recruitment operations remain efficient, scalable and industry-leading.

Key Responsibilities
 
Permanent Recruitment
  • Lead and grow the permanent recruitment division.
  • Develop new business opportunities and build lasting client relationships.
  • Deliver high-quality recruitment solutions across a variety of industries.
  • Mentor, coach and support recruitment consultants to maximise performance.
  • Monitor recruitment KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
Recruitment Systems & Database Management
  • Take ownership of the Group's recruitment and vetting database.
  • Oversee the migration, upload and quality assurance of candidate profiles, including active and standby talent pools.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity and ongoing maintenance of candidate data.
  • Drive user adoption and system optimisation across the business.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and operational efficiencies.
Systems Development & Continuous Improvement
  • Work closely with software developers to identify enhancements and new functionality.
  • Test new features and provide structured feedback to improve system performance and usability.
  • Document business requirements and operational processes.
  • Champion innovation and digital transformation within recruitment operations.
Training & Operational Support
  • Train and support recruitment teams across multiple branches on system usage, best practices and recruitment processes.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and user guides.
  • Ensure consistent recruitment standards and database management across the business.
Project Management
  • Lead strategic recruitment-related projects from planning through implementation.
  • Project manage the recruitment of key Group positions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitor project timelines, risks and deliverables.
Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with sales and operational teams to support business growth.
Minimum Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Management, Industrial Psychology or a related field.
  • Significant experience within permanent recruitment, preferably in an agency or staffing environment.
  • Proven experience leading recruitment teams or mentoring recruiters.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment systems, applicant tracking systems and database management.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or optimising recruitment technology and processes.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience working with software developers or technology teams will be advantageous.
  • Proven business development and client relationship management experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
