We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer Specialist to join a dynamic team on a 12-month contract basis. This role is ideal for a technical specialist with strong infrastructure and systems expertise who enjoys working in complex IT environments, ensuring optimal system performance, reliability, and support.

The successful candidate will provide specialist technical expertise and hands-on support across system installation, maintenance, optimisation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and overall systems performance management.

Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, test, tune and optimise hardware and systems software environments.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical system and infrastructure issues.
• Maintain, repair and upgrade internally and externally supplied hardware and software.
• Support and manage operating systems, data management products, office automation tools and embedded systems.
• Ensure system availability, reliability and optimal performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Provide technical support relating to utility-enabling software and associated equipment.
• Perform system testing, patching, upgrades and performance tuning activities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and technical teams to support infrastructure requirements and business continuity.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure adherence to operational standards and best practices.

Minimum Requirements
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Proven experience in systems engineering, infrastructure support or systems administration.
• Strong technical knowledge of operating systems, enterprise systems software and hardware environments.
• Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
• Exposure to system upgrades, optimisation, maintenance and performance tuning.
• Experience working with enterprise infrastructure, servers and utility software will be advantageous.
