Key Responsibilities

Support the team by managing the NICD is a source of knowledge and expertise in regionally relevant communicable diseases to the South African Government, SADC countries, and the African continent.
Take ownership of The NICD assists in the planning of policies and programs and supports appropriate responses to communicable disease problems and issues.
Support the team by managing division: NICD, Centre for HIV and STI.
Take responsibility for the core day-to-day work expected of a Surveillance Officer (Prof Nurse - 12 Months Contract - Wits NICD).
Work with colleagues, customers or suppliers to keep work moving and issues visible.

Requirements

Enough hands-on experience to understand the pace and standards of education work.
Clear communication and the confidence to work with different stakeholders.
Sound judgement, ownership of assigned work and willingness to solve problems properly.
