Our client, operating within the FMCG sector, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Supervisor to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily operations, leading a team, ensuring productivity targets are achieved, maintaining high standards of customer service, and ensuring compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operational activities.
- Lead, motivate, and manage staff to achieve departmental objectives.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor employee performance.
- Ensure productivity, efficiency, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Monitor attendance, timekeeping, and staff discipline.
- Conduct staff training and provide ongoing coaching where required.
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained.
- Assist with stock control, stock counts, receiving, and dispatch processes.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Complete daily operational reports and maintain accurate records.
- Liaise effectively with management regarding operational performance and staffing requirements.
- Promote a positive and productive working environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) (essential).
- Previous supervisory experience within an FMCG, retail, warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- Must be available to commence employment immediately.
- Own reliable transport will be advantageous.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.
- Clear criminal record.
- Contactable employment references.
Knowledge and Experience
- Sound understanding of FMCG operational processes.
- Experience managing teams in a high-volume environment.
- Knowledge of stock control and inventory management.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Experience with productivity monitoring and performance management.
- Ability to manage staff scheduling and workflow planning.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience working with ERP or warehouse management systems will be advantageous.
