Spray Painter
Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Spray Painter to join their Projects team at their Cato Ridge manufacturing plant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying protective and decorative coatings to equipment, structures and plant components, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets safety and operational standards.
This position candidate reports to the project manager

Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- 1–3 years’ experience as a Spray Painter in a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment
- Ability to work shift hours when required
- Willingness to assist during plant shutdowns and after-hours installations
- Physically fit and able to lift and manoeuvre heavy materials and equipment
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights
- Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and project requirements
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding and priming to ensure proper coating adhesion
- Apply paints, primers and protective coatings using spray, brush and roller techniques
- Ensure all coating work is completed according to specifications and quality standards
- Inspect completed work and identify any defects or areas requiring touch-ups
- Maintain paint equipment, tools and materials in good working condition
- Manage paint supplies and report shortages when necessary
- Keep accurate records of work completed, surface conditions and any issues encountered
- Provide support to the Projects team and perform related duties as required
- Hands-on and safety conscious
