Role Overview

Vela Personnel needs a Sourcing Specialist who can step into a practical role in Johannesburg. A key part of the work involves Ability to analysis global trends from a pharmaceutical procurement perspective and the business in terms of risk and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Support the team by managing minimum 5 years' experience in a pharmaceutical (medication), supply chain, and / or manufacturing environment.
Keep momentum on strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, legal and regulatory requirements (SAHPRA/ GMP environment in marketing and manufacturing).
Support the team by managing knowledge of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).
Take responsibility for the core day-to-day work expected of a Sourcing Specialist.
Work with colleagues, customers or suppliers to keep work moving and issues visible.

Requirements

5 years of relevant experience
Clear communication and the confidence to work with different stakeholders.
Sound judgement, ownership of assigned work and willingness to solve problems properly.
