A client of ours within the finance sector is looking for a Senior Tax Consultant / Accountant to join their dynamic team.

Location
Eastrand, Johannesburg

Requirements:

Accounting Degree or Higher Diploma. This is non-negotiable
Completed Articles
Affiliations to SAICA, SAIPA, ACC, CIMA and SAIBA are preferred
Working Pastel Experience and knowledge
Knowledge on CaseWare and Pastel is imperative
At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in an accounting environment
Own Vehicle
Valid driver’s license (non-negotiable)

Responsibilities:

Manage full accounting and tax function portfolio
Produce monthly management reports
Full accounting function to trial balance
Drafting of annual financial statements for companies, trusts, and sole proprietors on CaseWare
Provide advice on all tax and accounting matters
Must have experience on e-filing
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Prepare and submit income tax returns for individuals and companies, VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies and trusts
Prepare VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies, and trusts
Competent to attend to all SARS correspondence
Filing of notices of objections, and suspension of debt on e-filing
Work closely with internal teams, and external stakeholders to optimize tax strategies and minimize tax liabilities.
Conduct themselves in a professional manner
Must be willing to travel to clients
