Senior Storeman – Southern Suburbs, Cape Town

Are you an organised, hands-on individual with experience managing stock availability for various building sites?
 
Our client in the Southern Suburbs is seeking a reliable Storeman to support site operations and ensure that projects run smoothly by having the right materials and construction equipment available at the right time.

Must live in the Southern Suburbs area, Cape Town, and have strong Excel skills. Own vehicle and driver's license required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Matric, additional qualifications advantageous
• Experience in a similar role
• Good computer literacy - MS Word, Excel required
• Experience working in construction, dealing with stock receipting & control
• Must be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Own vehicle and valid driver's license - non-negotiable

DUTIES

• Receive, inspect and record incoming stock, materials and equipment
• Issue materials and tools to site teams and employees
• Arrange for delivery of materials to various sites
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory controls
• Conduct regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies
• Monitor stock levels and assist with procurement requirements
• Ensure stores, yards and storage areas are clean, organised and secure
• Track company tools, equipment and assets
• Coordinate deliveries and collections with suppliers and transport providers
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and company policies
• Prepare stock and inventory reports as required

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
