Senior Quality Engineer (Automotive)

A well-established automotive component manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join its leadership team. This opportunity is suited to an engineering professional with a strong background in automotive manufacturing, quality systems and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and quality improvement initiatives
• Drive manufacturing process optimisation and operational excellence
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
• Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards and customer requirements
• Conduct internal, supplier and customer audits
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA and Control Plans
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality, productivity and efficiency
• Mentor and support engineering and quality teams

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 8 years' experience within the automotive manufacturing industry
• Proven experience in engineering, quality and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Automotive Core Tools and VDA 6.3 Process Auditing is essential
• Experience conducting process, supplier and internal quality audits
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems
• Willingness to travel internationally when required
