Walter Sisulu University needs a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department - Department of Networking and Information Technology Support who can step into a practical role in East London. A key part of the work involves Senior Lecturer and Head of Department.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of Department of Networking and Information Technology Support PhD/ Doctoral qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology.
Keep momentum on undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology.
Support the team by managing knowledge and competency of using Technology in facilitating teaching and learning which includes using a Learner Management System such as Moodle, WiseUp, Microsoft Team.
Take responsibility for the core day-to-day work expected of a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department - Department of Networking and Information Technology Support.
Work with colleagues, customers or suppliers to keep work moving and issues visible.

Requirements

Enough hands-on experience to understand the pace and standards of technology work.
Clear communication and the confidence to work with different stakeholders.
Sound judgement, ownership of assigned work and willingness to solve problems properly.
Relevant qualifications or certifications will strengthen the application where required by the employer.
