Senior Financial Manager - Financial Services

Role Overview

Lead the full financial function for a financial-services and insurance operation, providing financial control, insight, risk management and business partnership to support strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting and financial control.
• Provide insight, manage financial risk and support business strategy.
• Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance.
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Identify financial trends, risks and opportunities.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecasts and scenario analysis.
• Optimise working capital through forecasting and liquidity planning.
• Manage tax, statutory compliance, audit and risk-committee reporting packs.
• Oversee insurance, risk management, governance and reporting.
• Lead performance management and develop the finance team.

Requirements

• BCom Accounting degree.
• CA(SA) and CIMA registration are advantageous.
• At least five years as a Financial Manager managing accountants in financial services or insurance.
• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, commercial acumen and business partnering.
• Advanced Excel and financial-systems capability; experience with accounting and consolidation systems is advantageous.
