Synopsis

An accounting services business is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end UK-compliant accounts, work directly with clients and support junior team members. The environment offers direct international exposure, with the role combining technical accounting delivery, client ownership and commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare complete UK-compliant financial accounts from start to finish.
Manage client relationships directly and respond to accounting-related queries.
Review accounting information for completeness and accuracy before finalisation.
Coordinate account preparation and delivery against agreed client deadlines.
Use commercial judgement to identify opportunities for additional accounting services.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and UK-based apprentices.
Participate in regular team and client discussions to resolve technical or delivery issues.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

Demonstrable experience preparing end-to-end financial accounts.
Experience working with UK-compliant accounting requirements or UK accounting clients.
Ability to manage client relationships independently.
Strong technical accounting and financial-statement preparation skills.
Commercial awareness and confidence identifying additional client service opportunities.
Ability to mentor and guide less experienced accounting team members.
