Role Overview

Smith Garb needs a Senior Accountant who can step into a practical role in JHB - Western Suburbs. A key part of the work involves Compiling balance sheets and profit & loss statements.

Key Responsibilities

Support the team by managing investigating and resolving discrepancies and non -compliance issues.
Take responsibility for the core day-to-day work expected of a Senior Accountant.
Work with colleagues, customers or suppliers to keep work moving and issues visible.
Keep records, updates and handovers clear so decisions can be made with confidence.
Maintain a professional standard of delivery, communication and follow-through.

Requirements

Enough hands-on experience to understand the pace and standards of ngo & non-profit work.
Clear communication and the confidence to work with different stakeholders.
Sound judgement, ownership of assigned work and willingness to solve problems properly.
