An exciting opportunity exists for a highly experienced and internationally exposed Senior Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be a qualified accounting professional with extensive international technical accounting expertise and proven experience managing the financial functions of offshore entities.
This role is ideal for a finance professional who is comfortable operating within an international group structure, managing multiple jurisdictions, currencies, and reporting requirements while ensuring full compliance with IFRS and international best practices.
The position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to perform accurately under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full financial function for multiple companies, including international and offshore entities.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, consolidated financial reports, and statutory financial statements across various jurisdictions.
  • Calculate company income tax and deferred tax in accordance with IFRS, South African tax legislation, and relevant international tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage foreign currency transactions, intercompany balances, and group consolidations.
  • Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations, ensure general ledger integrity, and uphold strong financial controls across all entities.
  • Coordinate and manage local and international audits, liaising with auditors, advisors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for both local and offshore operations.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to executive management.
  • Drive continuous improvements to finance processes, systems, and reporting structures within an international business environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Honours Degree in Accounting Sciences (essential).
  • Minimum of 7–10 years' experience in senior accounting or financial management roles.
  • Experience working in the UAE will be highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience managing offshore or international companies, including cross-border reporting and compliance.
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS, group consolidations, and international taxation principles.
  • Proven experience working within multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across multiple regions and cultures.
