Synopsis

An accounting firm is seeking a Senior Accountant with completed SAIPA articles to take responsibility for financial-statement preparation, management accounts and client accounting work. The role suits a recently signed-off professional or someone with approximately one year of post-article experience.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts for assigned clients.
Draft annual financial statements.
Analyse financial statements and identify accounting issues.
Process and review client accounting information.
Use cloud and desktop accounting platforms to maintain accurate records.
Perform reconciliations and review supporting schedules.
Communicate with clients regarding accounting information and outstanding documentation.
Support completion of accounting engagements within agreed deadlines.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

Completed SAIPA articles.
Recently signed-off candidates or candidates with approximately one year of post-article experience are suitable.
Experience preparing and analysing financial statements.
Experience preparing monthly management accounts.
Exposure to Xero is required.
Experience with Sage, QuickBooks or CaseWare is advantageous.
