Security Manager (Regional) - East Rand

Role Overview

A regional Security Manager is required for a metals-manufacturing business. The role leads security operations across Gauteng and Mpumalanga, protects company assets and people, manages risk, and ensures compliance across an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead security operations across Gauteng and Mpumalanga and implement security policies and best practices.
• Develop risk-management strategies to protect assets, personnel, property, and information.
• Prevent and investigate theft, fraud, vandalism, and other criminal activity.
• Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, investigations, and incident reporting.
• Manage security providers, contractual compliance, expenditure, and service performance.
• Oversee CCTV, access control, emergency response, security technologies, licences, permits, and records.
• Liaise with SAPS, private security companies, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Lead and develop security teams while driving accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Security Management or a related field.
• Compulsory PSIRA Grade A registration.
• At least six years' senior-management experience in a security environment.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.
• Manufacturing, logistics, or industrial-environment experience.
• Strong risk, audit, investigation, incident-management, CCTV, reporting, and legislative knowledge, including the Second-Hand Goods Act 6 of 2009.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and excellent written and verbal communication.
