Our client in the events and entertainment industry is seeking a Sales & Operations Manager to join their team in Cape Town CBD on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will drive sales growth, manage client relationships, oversee daily operations, coordinate events and staff, and ensure exceptional customer experiences across all bookings and events.

Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12)
Proven experience in sales, business development, client services, operations, or event management
Strong experience in lead conversion, customer relationship management (CRM), and account management
Pipedrive CRM experience highly advantageous
Proficient in Google Workspace; Xero experience advantageous
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Commercially minded with a passion for sales and business growth
Previous team leadership or supervisory experience advantageous
Comfortable using digital systems, AI tools, and technology
Willing to work occasional evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Key Responsibilities:

Manage inbound enquiries, quotations, follow-ups, and bookings
Drive outbound sales, prospecting, lead generation, and business development
Build relationships with venues, event planners, corporate clients, and strategic partners
Coordinate bookings, schedules, staffing, and operational planning
Oversee event delivery, quality control, and customer satisfaction
Manage client communication from enquiry through to event completion
Assist with staff training, SOPs, onboarding, and performance management
Support product innovation, AI-powered customer experiences, and process improvements
Maintain accurate sales, client, and operational records and assist with reporting and invoicing
Ensure equipment and inventory are maintained and event-ready
