Sales Manager - Centurion
Role Purpose
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and executing the company’s sales strategy within the electronic security industry. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening client relationships across key sectors. The Sales Manager will oversee the sales team, develop and implement effective sales plans, drive business development initiatives, and support strategic tender and proposal submissions. Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning
Develop and implement the company’s sales strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
Prepare and execute structured sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market growth.
Identify emerging market opportunities within the electronic security sector and position the business to capitalise on these opportunities.
Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
Business Development
Identify and secure new business opportunities across corporate, commercial, government, and enterprise markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Expand the company’s footprint through strategic partnerships and targeted market engagement.
Drive long-term revenue growth through proactive client engagement and opportunity development.
Sales Team Management
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team performance targets.
Develop performance metrics and monitor team outputs to ensure consistent sales delivery.
Provide coaching, support, and training to strengthen the team’s sales capabilities and product knowledge.
Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and results.
Proposals, Quotations and Tenders
Prepare and oversee high-level quotations for complex security solutions and large-scale projects.
Assist with the preparation and submission of tenders and formal bid responses.
Develop comprehensive sales and business proposals tailored to client requirements.
Ensure all proposals and tender submissions meet technical, commercial, and compliance standards.
Client Engagement and Presentations
Deliver professional presentations to senior management, executives, and decision-makers.
Present security solutions, project proposals, and value propositions to potential and existing clients.
Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and strategic engagements.
Reporting and Performance Management
Track and report on sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance against targets.
Provide regular reports and insights to executive management regarding sales activities and opportunities.
Ensure accurate CRM and sales reporting processes are maintained.
Role Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales role within the electronic security industry or a closely related technology environment.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sales management or leadership role.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Strong experience in business development, strategic sales planning, and opportunity management.
Experience preparing high-value quotations, tenders, and business proposals.
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management and executives.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel when required.
