Sales Manager – Cape Town

Are you a results-driven Sales Manager with a strong track record in leading high-performing teams within a technical environment?
 
Our Cape Town–based client is looking for an experienced professional to drive sales strategy, consistently achieve targets, and build and maintain strong client relationships.
 
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Managing Director and play a key part in shaping the company’s growth.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Matric, or related qualification
  • Diploma or degree in Sales and Marketing advantageous 
  • Degree in Engineering or related studies advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years in a managerial role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with SAGE accounting systems
  • Able to work well independently as well as within a team
  • Valid SA driver’s license and own vehicle
  • Bilingual in English & Afrikaans
  • Office hours: Mon – Thurs 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 07:30 – 15:30
DUTIES
 
Sales & Strategy
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to build and sustain a strong pipeline
  • Set and drive achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual targets
  • Forecast sales performance and share insights with leadership
Marketing & Growth
  • Analyse market trends and competitors to inform strategy
  • Identify new markets, opportunities and key clients
  • Represent the company at industry events and expand brand presence
  • Maintain strong technical and industry knowledge
Client Relationships
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, suppliers and teams
  • Promote a strong client-centric culture
  • Gather and share client feedback to inform business decisions
Team Leadership
  • Lead, develop and performance-manage the sales team
  • Ensure teams have the tools, skills and support to succeed
  • Assist with key sales activities, including quoting
 
Salary: Basic salary, car allowance, contribution to medical aid, pension fund benefit, company laptop, mobile phone and fuel card. Performance-based bonus, dependent on company targets being achieved.
