Sales Consultant - Microfinance

Role Overview

A microfinance business is seeking self-motivated, sales-driven and administratively strong candidates for a Sales Consultant position at a Pretoria branch.

The role involves marketing, promoting and selling loan and insurance products, creating new business, maintaining and improving client relationships, meeting or exceeding product targets and maintaining administrative standards. Responsibilities also include branch-level cash control, updating cash books and completing reports.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed Loan Out, Loan In, Contract and Funeral Plan targets.
• Maintain customer relationships and market the business's products and services.
• Develop and grow the customer database.
• Meet branch-administration requirements and comply with company policy and national legislative requirements.
• Keep up to date with product knowledge and educate customers on products, terms and conditions.
• Update branch books for incoming cash and balance books and systems.
• Maintain a clean branch and a professional personal and branch presentation.

Requirements

• Matric or Grade 12 with Mathematics or Accounting.
• Degree or National Diploma is advantageous.
• One to two years of microfinance experience.
• Communication, marketing, computer-literacy, target-driven, financial-acumen and cash-handling skills.
• Service orientation, initiative and team-player capability.
