About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Rock Engineer to ensure the stability and safety of underground and surface mining operations. The successful candidate will assess rock mass conditions, manage geotechnical risks, and develop strategies to support safe and productive mining activities.

What You'll Do

Conduct rock mass and ground stability assessments.
Design and monitor ground support systems.
Identify and mitigate geotechnical risks.
Analyze seismic and geotechnical data.
Investigate ground control incidents and provide recommendations.
Compile technical reports and risk assessments.
Collaborate with mining, geology, and production teams.

Requirements

Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Rock Engineering, or a related field.
Chamber of Mines Rock Mechanics Certificate (advantageous).
Experience in underground or open-pit mining environments.
Strong understanding of rock mechanics and ground control principles.
Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
