Registered Nurse - ICU - Johannesburg

Role Overview

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to provide holistic, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in an intensive care environment. The role focuses on safe, effective and compassionate patient care, clinical outcomes and patient well-being.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe, effective and patient-centred care.
• Support people management through leadership, communication, accountability, employee development and team performance.
• Manage operational costs and participate actively in infection control and health and safety.
• Maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure the effective functioning of equipment and instrumentation.
• Maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or diploma in nursing.
• Post-basic critical care qualification registered with SANC; critical-care nursing experience is advantageous.
• At least two years' experience in a private hospital.
• Willingness and ability to work day and night shifts according to operational requirements.
• Problem-solving, resilience, communication, ethical behaviour, relationship-building and organisational awareness.
