Job Description

Regional Scope: Gauteng & Mpumalanga
Lead Security | Protect Assets | Drive Operational Excellence

An established organisation is looking for a seasoned security leader to take charge of regional security operations across Gauteng and Mpumalanga.
This is an opportunity for a decisive, commercially minded professional who can combine strategic oversight with strong operational leadership —strengthening security standards, managing risk, protecting assets and driving accountability across a complex, multi-site environment.

Why this opportunity?

  • High-impact regional leadership role with direct exposure to Executive Management
  • Opportunity to influence and strengthen security practices across a diverse operational footprint
  • Lead a security function while managing key external security partnerships
  • Competitive remuneration and benefits, including provident fund, medical aid, car allowance and company phone

Your Key Performance Areas:

  • Asset Protection & Risk Management
  • Security Operations Management
  • Incident Response & Investigations
  • Security Technology & Innovation
  • Financial Management
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Compliance & Administration

What You Bring to the Role | Must-Haves
  • PSIRA Grade A registration – essential
  • Minimum 7 years' senior security management experience
  • Diploma or Degree in Security Management or equivalent
  • Proven experience in asset protection, risk management, investigations and incident response
  • Experience managing security teams and outsourced security service providers
  • Experience within a manufacturing, logistics, industrial, mining, metals, recycling or similarly high-risk environment
  • Knowledge of CCTV, surveillance, access control and security technology
  • Sound knowledge of the Second-Hand Goods Act 6 of 2009 and relevant legislation
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Mpumalanga as required
  • Willingness to attend to operational emergencies outside normal working hours, including weekends when required

About You
You are an established security professional with the leadership presence, judgement and confidence to take ownership of regional security outcomes.

You are proactive rather than reactive, comfortable enforcing standards and holding others accountable, and able to make sound decisions when faced with risk, incidents or operational pressure.

You know how to engage credibly with senior leadership, law enforcement and security partners — while remaining close enough to the operation to know what is really happening on the ground.

If you are ready to step into a role where your leadership can make a tangible difference, we would like to hear from you!
