Job Description
Greys Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading client for an experienced Regional HR Manager to provide strategic and operational HR leadership across a multi-country Southern African portfolio.This is a senior HR leadership position suited to an accomplished HR professional with strong experience in employee relations, labour relations, HR operations, workforce planning and senior stakeholder management within a complex, multi-site environment
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement the regional people strategy across South Africa and neighbouring countries.
- Provide strategic HR business partnering to senior leadership and management.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent management and retention.
- Lead employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievances, investigations and labour disputes.
- Manage relationships with organised labour, unions, bargaining councils and external labour stakeholders.
- Provide guidance on labour legislation, compliance and HR governance.
- Oversee payroll, remuneration, benefits, leave and related HR reporting.
- Lead workforce planning, organisational design, restructuring and change initiatives.
- Drive training and development initiatives, including WSP/ATR and SETA-related requirements.
- Manage HR reporting, analytics, Employment Equity and compliance requirements.
- Lead and develop the HR team while managing the HR departmental budget.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to identify people-related risks and implement appropriate solutions.
- Travel to regional sites as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations or a related field.
- Extensive experience in a senior HR management or HR business partnering role.
- Strong South African labour and employee relations experience.
- Proven experience with CCMA, disciplinary processes, grievances and complex employee relations matters.
- Experience engaging with trade unions and organised labour.
- Strong knowledge of payroll, remuneration and benefits.
- Experience in a multi-site or regional environment.
- Exposure to HR operations across South Africa, Namibia and/or Mozambique will be highly advantageous.
- Experience in organisational design, restructuring and change management.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively within a matrixed and commercially driven environment.
- Experience with HRIS systems; Dayforce exposure would be advantageous.
- Willingness to travel to regional sites when required.
