Recruitment Consultant

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and people-focused Recruitment Consultant to join our team in Cape Town.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships and helping candidates connect with the right career opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the recruitment process from start to finish, including sourcing candidates, screening applications, conducting interviews and supporting client hiring needs.

You will work in a fast-paced recruitment environment where communication, organisation and follow-through are key.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the full recruitment cycle from candidate sourcing to placement
  • Advertising vacancies across job boards, social media and recruitment platforms
  • Searching for suitable candidates using CV databases, LinkedIn and internal systems
  • Screening CVs and shortlisting candidates based on role requirements
  • Conducting candidate interviews and skills assessments
  • Preparing candidate profiles and submissions for client review
  • Managing candidate communication throughout the recruitment process
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with candidates and clients
  • Arranging interviews and following up on feedback
  • Supporting offer management, onboarding and placement administration
  • Maintaining accurate records on the recruitment system
  • Meeting recruitment activity targets and placement goals


Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

  • Previous experience in recruitment, sales, customer service or talent acquisition
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence speaking to candidates and clients
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Computer literacy and the ability to work with recruitment systems or CRM tools
  • A proactive and resilient approach
  • The ability to manage multiple roles and candidates at the same time


Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Previous recruitment agency experience
  • Experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn, job boards or CV databases
  • Experience managing client relationships
  • Knowledge of recruitment administration and candidate compliance
  • A strong understanding of sales, targets and service delivery

The ideal candidate is confident, professional and people-driven. You should be comfortable speaking to new people daily, asking good questions and matching candidates to suitable opportunities.
