Receiving and Warehouse Supervisor

Our client is looking for an experienced Receiving & Raw Materials Warehouse Supervisor to lead the receiving, storage, inventory control and issuing of raw materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate receipt of daily deliveries from suppliers and off-site warehouses, maintaining inventory integrity, supporting production requirements, and leading a high-performing warehouse team.


Qualification details:
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, Operations Management, or related field
 Experience
  • 5–8 years' warehouse experience
  • Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role
  • FMCG, food manufacturing, cold chain, or distribution experience
  • Experience managing high-value inventory and inventory control systems

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all inbound raw material receipts from suppliers and off-site warehouses.
  • Oversee storage, stock rotation, and inventory control across ambient, chilled, and frozen warehouses.
  • Ensure accurate stock transactions, traceability, and inventory integrity.
  • Maintain material availability to support uninterrupted production.
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and receiving personnel.
  • Drive compliance with food safety, quality, and health & safety standards.
  • Manage cycle counts, stock audits, and variance investigations.
  • Monitor warehouse KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with Procurement, Planning, Production, Quality, and Finance teams.
  • Safeguard high-value inventory and minimize stock losses.
