A global FMCG business is seeking an experienced R&D Manager – Snacks to lead product development from concept through to full market launch within the snacks category.

Key responsibilities
- Lead development of new product opportunities within the snacks category
- Develop seasoning solutions and related applications aligned to customer and market needs
- Translate insights and trends into commercially viable product concepts
- Manage projects from early concept through to full commercial launch
- Oversee scale-up and industrial implementation of new products
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and customer engagement where required
- Lead customer presentations and technical discussions
- Manage project pipelines, timelines, and resource allocation
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to ensure delivery and compliance
- Lead and develop an R&D team focused on innovation, delivery, and capability building
- Support structured development planning, coaching, and performance feedback
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Process Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in food product development or applied R&D environments
- Strong expertise in food systems and flavour/seasoning development
- Proven experience managing technical projects or portfolios
- Experience engaging directly with customers in technical environments
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business drivers
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability
- Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational capability
- Leadership experience within an R&D or technical team environment
- Ability to work across cross-functional and global teams
