Quantity Surveyor

Synopsis

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage construction project costs, budgets and contracts. The ideal candidate will ensure projects remain financially viable while maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare cost estimates, budgets and bills of quantities.
2. Measure and calculate material and labour requirements.
3. Monitor project expenses and manage cost control.
4. Evaluate contractor quotations and supplier tenders.
5. Prepare progress payment certificates and financial reports.
6. Manage contracts, variations and final accounts.
7. Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and costs.
8. Work closely with architects, engineers and construction teams.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

1. A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
2. Relevant industry experience is advantageous.
3. Knowledge of construction methods, materials and cost estimation.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software.
5. Understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
6. Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
