Role Overview

K AND L GROUP HOLDINGS (PTY) LTD needs a Quantity Surveyor- Cape Town who can step into a practical role in Cape Town. A key part of the work involves Management of construction guarantees (5%).

Key Responsibilities

Keep momentum on conduct fortnightly site visits to evaluate the measurement of work done in order to give final approval of sub-contractor payments, as determined by the Construction Man.
Keep momentum on manage Construction Guarantees (5%) o Variable construction guarantees, tracking renewal and expiring dates.
Keep momentum on knowledge of specialized construction cost management software (Candy & BuildSmart).
Take responsibility for the core day-to-day work expected of a Quantity Surveyor- Cape Town.
Work with colleagues, customers or suppliers to keep work moving and issues visible.

Requirements

3 years of relevant experience
Good planning habits, attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
Comfort working to agreed standards while adapting when operational needs change.
