We are currently looking for a Quality Controller who will inspect completed repairs, verify workmanship, ensure compliance with maintenance procedures, and support continuous improvement within the workshop.

Minimum Qualifications

Grade 12 (Matric)
Diploma or Certificate in Quality Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (advantageous)
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor training (advantageous)
RTMS knowledge (advantageous)
Valid South African Driver's Licence ( Code 10 or 14 )(advantageous)
Trade Test Certificate as a Diesel Mechanic (preferred), or
National Certificate in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
3–5 years' experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance.
Experience within logistics, warehousing, transport, or vehicle logistics.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect all completed mechanical repairs before vehicles are released.
Verify that repairs comply with manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
Conduct quality inspections on trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
Identify workmanship defects and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Ensure mechanics follow standard repair procedures and workshop policies.
Verify the quality of replacement parts and materials used.
Conduct road tests where required to confirm repair quality.
Monitor repeat repairs and investigate root causes.
Prepare inspection reports and maintain quality records.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
Assist with technical guidance and mentoring of workshop staff.
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards.
Perform internal quality audits.
Assist during customer and external audits.
Background in spray painting will be an advantage
