Proposals Engineer - Renewable Energy

Synopsis

A renewable-energy organisation is seeking a Proposals Engineer to prepare competitive technical and commercial proposals for Battery Energy Storage System and commercial solar projects. The position works across engineering, procurement, finance and sales to turn customer requirements into robust and commercially viable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate technical and commercial project proposals.
• Conduct feasibility studies and detailed design analysis.
• Optimise proposed systems for technical performance and commercial viability.
• Review customer RFPs and determine project feasibility.
• Develop proposal scopes, timelines, technical specifications and commercial terms.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, finance and sales teams.
• Support sales teams during client meetings, presentations and negotiations.
• Monitor regulatory developments and emerging renewable-energy technologies.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience preparing and managing tenders for BESS and commercial solar PV projects.
• Strong understanding of renewable-energy systems.
• Experience with project costing and commercial proposal preparation.
• Ability to evaluate customer RFPs and technical requirements.
• Strong coordination skills across engineering, procurement, finance and sales stakeholders.
