Property Conveyancer – Cape Town

A respected law firm in De Waterkant is looking for an experienced Conveyancer to join their new Cape Town branch. This is a hands-on role for a proactive professional who can handle files from start to finish, drafting documents, communicating with clients and financial institutions, coordinating with the Deeds Office and ensuring every compliance step is flawlessly executed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified South African Attorney and Conveyancer 
• Notary Public qualification advantageous
• Min 5 years post-admission experience in conveyancing
• Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing and property law
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
• Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload with accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Demonstrated success in business development 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
• Client-focused, professional, and results-oriented

DUTIES

• Maintain and grow strong client relationships, leveraging an existing client base to support the firm’s continued growth
• Manage the full spectrum of conveyancing transactions, including property transfers, bond registrations, cancellations, and related matters
• Liaise professionally with clients, estate agents, banks, and other key stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle
• Draft, review, and process all conveyancing documentation in line with current legal and regulatory requirements
• Ensure all matters are handled timeously, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry standards and deadlines
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, as needed

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience.
