Project Manager - Renewables - Johannesburg

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead renewable energy projects from planning through completion from a Johannesburg office. The role requires strong project management, commercial, contractual and stakeholder-management experience within renewable energy, EPC, construction or infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring and close-out of renewable energy projects.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources and reporting.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants and clients.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure contractual, regulatory, quality and HSE compliance.
• Monitor project progress and report to key stakeholders.
• Support procurement, commissioning and project handover.
• Drive project performance and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field.
• Eight to ten years' project management experience.
• Experience in renewable energy, EPC, construction or infrastructure.
• Proven delivery experience across Solar PV, Wind Energy and/or BESS projects.
• Strong project controls, scheduling, risk management, commercial and contract-management experience.
• Leadership, decision-making, stakeholder management, planning, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
