Project Lead – Tourism Industry

Are you an experienced project professional who thrives on bringing people, plans, and projects together?

Our client, a well-established organisation within the tourism industry, is seeking a Project Lead to join their team on a 3-month fixed-term contract based in Somerset West.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual who can drive projects from planning through to successful delivery while working with multiple stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant qualification in Project Management, Business, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading and coordinating projects.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience within the tourism, hospitality, or events industry will be advantageous.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transport preferred.

DUTIES

  • Lead and coordinate projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Prepare project reports and provide regular updates to management.
  • Facilitate meetings and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
