Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the cytology programme.

• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of cytology technologies and best practices.

• Monitor programme performance, analyse trends, and recommend service improvements.

• Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards and accreditation requirements.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery and programme outcomes.

• Support the development and review of clinical guidelines, protocols, and operational processes.

• Identify opportunities for innovation and the adoption of emerging technologies.

• Contribute to financial planning and the optimisation of laboratory services.
