Role Overview

The purpose of this position is to execute daily production schedules and plans for all production units, capacity planning, procurement planning and KPI reporting. The Production Planner will measure adherence to processes, ensure master data is updated daily, monitor forecast variances and communicate planning information to relevant stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Participate in and influence department strategy, monitor progress against the plan and develop recommendations and action plans.
Build relationships with stakeholders and contribute to strategic plans with suppliers through regular liaison on trend changes and tactical forecasting.
Conduct stock-build plans considering capacity, raw-material supply and other constraints.
Understand and optimise supply-chain systems and reflect internal and external demand factors in forecasts.
Maintain data and systems, collate information and assumptions, reach consensus through alignment, publish plans and track delivery.
Issue daily plans and schedules for production units and coordinate resource, shift and labour planning.
Manage suppliers, procurement compliance, price checks, data analysis and reporting.
Analyse historical and current performance, understand market and product trends and implement tactical and continuous-improvement plans.

Requirements

BEng Industrial or BCom in Supply Chain is required.
One to two years of operational supply-chain experience.
Experience in production planning and related manufacturing operations is beneficial; FMCG experience is advantageous.
Operational and procurement planning, statistical demand and forecasting analysis, supply-chain, project-management and reporting capability.
Strong mathematical, statistical and problem-solving skills.
