Production / Operations Manager
Synopsis
A high-volume apparel and manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Production / Operations Manager to take ownership of factory performance and end-to-end production delivery. The role oversees production planning, manufacturing operations, machinery readiness, stock control and people leadership across a busy shift-based environment. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain output, quality and delivery standards while continuously improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end production process across the manufacturing operation.
- Lead daily production planning in line with demand and operational forecasts.
- Ensure production targets, delivery requirements and operational performance standards are achieved.
- Monitor production schedules and address bottlenecks affecting throughput.
- Coordinate day and night shift activities and ensure effective operational handovers.
- Maintain control and security of production stock, raw materials and related resources.
- Oversee machinery maintenance, equipment readiness and manufacturing availability.
- Lead and develop supervisors, planners, engineers and production employees.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and factory efficiency.
Qualifications / Minimum Requirements
- Extensive production-management experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Approximately eight or more years of relevant production-management experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of factory operations, production planning and manufacturing performance.
- Experience managing shift-based production teams.
- Ability to manage machinery, stock, people and production priorities simultaneously.
- Strong operational leadership and problem-solving capability.
