Production Clerk - Labeler
Our client in Montague Gardens, Cape Town, within the manufacturing industry, is seeking a permanent Production Clerk / Labeller.
The successful candidate will be responsible for production administration, product and raw material labelling, inventory control, production documentation, ERP transactions, and maintaining accurate stock records and batch traceability.

- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Qualification in Inventory Management, Production Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain will be advantageous.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing, production administration, inventory control, stock control, or data capturing environment.
- Experience working with ERP systems, Bills of Materials (BOM), and production backflushing.
- Knowledge of inventory control, batch traceability, FIFO, GMP, Food Safety, and production processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good organisational, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Honest, reliable, accountable, adaptable, and committed to excellent attendance and punctuality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and print labels for raw materials and finished products.
- Ensure labels contain accurate product descriptions, product codes, batch numbers, manufacturing dates, expiry dates, and traceability information.
- Record raw materials received and issue stock to production.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate stock discrepancies.
- Ensure FIFO stock rotation is maintained.
- Maintain production documentation and manufacturing records.
- Verify production documentation and maintain accurate filing systems.
- Process Bill of Materials (BOM) transactions and production backflushing in the ERP system.
- Confirm production quantities and accurately close production batches.
- Participate in monthly and annual stock counts and investigate inventory variances.
- Assist production supervisors with administrative and production support.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and comply with GMP, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and company procedures.
- Ensure accurate production records and full product traceability.
